Have you ever defied your GPS, believing you knew a better route, only to find yourself delayed and frustrated? This week, I was reminded of a similar spiritual journey where we often ignore the ultimate 'GPS' — God’s Personal Signals — leading us through life.
In our recent sermon, we delved into Jesus' profound declaration in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life." This bold statement, while controversial to some, underscores a crucial aspect of our faith: the exclusivity and reliability of Jesus as our path to God.
In a world brimming with skepticism, where trust is a rare commodity, Jesus stands out as the unshakeable truth. We witness trust being eroded in various facets of life, from media to leadership. Yet, here’s Jesus, offering a pathway, a truth, and a life that transcends human failings.
But why trust Jesus? He has a plan for us — a plan for an eternal home with Him. He is the only pathway to this eternal joy, a claim that sets Christianity apart. His past actions, the miracles, and teachings, form a resume of trustworthiness. And He doesn’t just leave us with words; He sends the Holy Spirit, our Paraclete, to guide and comfort us.
In times of chaos and confusion, when our hearts are troubled, Jesus offers peace — a peace that the world cannot give. This peace is not the absence of trouble but a profound assurance in the midst of it, stemming from an unwavering trust in Him.
As we navigate life's uncertain paths, let’s remember this: just as a GPS guides us to our destination, Jesus, the way, the truth, and the life, guides us to a more profound spiritual destination. Let's trust this Divine GPS and embrace the journey with faith, knowing we’re headed in the right direction!
