Werribee Baptist Church is excited to announce a significant milestone in its journey of faith and growth. Following a successful members vote, the church will officially adopt the new name Catalyst Baptist Church. This change marks an important step forward as the church embraces its mission to multiply hope and inspire positive transformation in our community and beyond.
The decision to change the name reflects the church’s expanding vision and commitment to serving a growing congregation that spans well beyond Werribee. The new name, Catalyst Baptist Church, captures the essence of the church’s role in sparking spiritual growth, fostering community connection, and sharing the love of Jesus in a dynamic and impactful way.
“Our mission and vision remain the same: to see the hope of Jesus multiplied in lives and communities,” said Lead Pastor Stan Richey. “The name Catalyst represents both who we are and who we’re becoming as we continue to reach people with the message of hope and transformation in Christ.”
This name change is a celebration of the church’s vibrant history while looking ahead to an exciting future. The church remains deeply grounded in its biblical foundation and core values, confident that this step will position it to bring hope and growth to even more lives.
The church expects to rollout the name change in early 2025.
