I AM the Bread of Life

Today we start an 8 week series on the “I AM ...” statements that Jesus made in the Gospel of John. The combination of the 8 statements works together powerfully to show a picture of who Jesus is and by implication what He has done or is doing for us.

When Jesus describes Himself as “The Bread of Life”, He is speaking powerfully about Himself and His ability to nourish and satisfy our souls. We’ll see that whilst people tended to think in the physical, Jesus tended to think in the spiritual.

I believe that souls are still hungry for something that satisfies the deep longings in our hearts and I believe that Jesus is still the only person who can satisfy our soul hunger. I look forward to exploring this series together
