Kids in Church
Kids are a special part of our church family and we love them being involved in our worship services. After the first bracket of singing in our morning services we invite all the children to the front of church where we introduce the topic or theme we'll be looking at during KidZone that morning. It's always different - funny, active, surprising and connecting. After the Kids Talk the children head out to the morning programs (ToddlaZone / KidZone).
One Sunday evening in each of the school holiday breaks we also have our quarterly KidZone Service. It's led by our KidZone team and L252 students. It's noisy and fun, fully interactive, games and prizes, singing and dancing ... all around the Bible character or theme we've been studying in the previous term. Children from Kinder to Grade 6 enjoy a fun and ever-changing program during our morning services. They are signed in at the desk in the foyer where they receive a name badge for easy identification. At the end of the Kids Talk, all the KidZone kids head out to "The Shed" where an awesome team leads a time of singing, prayer and giving and then age-specific activities around the current theme. Children return to church during the concluding song.
The heartbeat of KidZone is to see our kids grow in their knowledge of God and into deeper relationship with Him. Through various topics and themes we seek to connect children to God's Word and to see them apply it in their lives. Click here to find out more about the current KidZone program.
325Zone is a targeted ministry for 3, 4 & 5 year olds. Sign in happens at the tables in the foyer and children receive a name tag to help our team connect with them and also identify them as registered for the program that day. At the end of Kids Talk the 325Zoners head out to a specifically created space where they participate in games, craft, action songs and story times. The program concludes to return children to church during the final song of the service.
ToddlaZone runs during both of our morning services. At the 9am service it’s open to 1 & 2 year olds & in the 10:45am service it includes all children pre-kinder age. A great team of leaders and helpers supervise play, Bible story time, activities (ie colouring in) and snacks to release the parents to be present in church during the sermon. Parents or guardians sign their child in at the door and are contacted during the service if their child requires attention or a nappy change. Children are collected and signed out during the final song.
